No I don’t think so.

There were several ideas how to let people know about this:

• Twitter
• Donation page (Feature #10045)
• news emails (see https://labs.riseup.net/code/issues/7151#note-5)

I sent a first tweet about that: 644502900211863552. Feel free to draft a small blog post about that but let’s not spend to much time on it. I’d rather focus on the big call for donation at the end of the year and I’m very busy with other stuff.

• we’ve been using flattr for ~2 years
• it’s prominent on our donation page
• probably we tweeted that
• we’re considering stopping to use it.
