Do we actually want to convert our applet into a proper application? I think it’s the way to go. Thoughts? Volunteers?

#7 Updated by nodens 2014-11-26 22:26:34

I think it is, too, I’d volunteer but :

- I’m quite busy currently and I have a hard time already to find time to work on the “simple” things (such as Feature #6507)
- I’m not really a developer and it’ll take time ;)

That said, the way I see it the best way would be to have a standalone application, and use a DBus listener that could be called both by a traditionnal applet (so it would work in classic desktop environnement such as xfce) and a gnome-shell extension.

Anyway, design is not my thing at all so even if I’m able to work on this I’d need some help for the UI.
