Feature #7211
Remove the "Release cycle" from Contribute page
0%
Description
Those links are really specific to the release-manager and should be linked from the [https://tails.boum.org/contribute/working_together/roles/release_manager/ release manager page] and removed from the general Contribute page, except the “manual test suite” maybe, in which case it could be added to the tools for contributors.

I beg to disagree with your analysis of who the “Release schedule” link is useful to. Other people than the RM need this information too:
- contributors who need to get their stuff ready and merged in time before a freeze: they need to know what the release cycle generally is, especially when next release’s schedule has not been posted yet, or next release is a point-release and their work is targeted at the next major release
- translators who need to know when they likely will need to put time into translation during the next few release cycles
- upstreams who are kind enough to take our release cycle into account
So, I think the link to the release schedule needs to stay somewhere on the Contribute page.
OTOH:
- I agree that the link to the release process could be moved to the RM doc.
- If we do that, indeed maybe it’s not worth keeping a dedicated section for the release cycle, and so we probably agree on the general idea :)

I agree with intrigeri.

Let’s add: tester would might want to participate in the manual test suite.

I think this effort should take place in a deeper restructuring of all
those links, and that’s Bug #7047.
