The Greeter sometimes does not display the GNOME Shell top bar

Description

On 3.0~beta4. The desktop background was black and the corners of the greeter’s window were square. Only relevant logs I could find:

… immediately after X.Org detected the “spice vdagent tablet”. And indeed, there’s no running gnome-shell process for the GDM session. I wonder if this might be related to set-cursor.py.

The keyboard layout and admin password I’ve set was successfully applied.

FWIW I don’t see this error in the logs after another boot that doesn’t expose the bug this ticket is about.

I can confirm that it seems I get that X Error if and only if I hit this bug.

Furthermore, when I have a persistence partition present I experience this bug very often. I just did four reboots, and I experienced it three times…
