Description

As reported on Tails UX:

“2) What I didn’t find but much appreciated: Please remove the input
focus from Install option to nowhere or to ”Upgrade by cloning" so an
accidental key press (SPACE / ENTER) does not run the most destructive
option but has to be chosen actively (no matter that there’s another
tiny dialogue before).

Over another channel a follow up suggestion was “if it doesn’t confound ‘power’ users too much an easy option might be to put ”install by cloning" as last option. I bet 1st option has focus by default."

1st option has focus by default.
patches attached.
‘tiny_patch’ just changes the order displayed, ‘bigger_patch’ rearranges source too to reflect the order in which it’s displayed.
Only in-Tails Tails installer adapted bc otherwise “label_intro” is child 0 and has focus.

I’ve gotten another proposal for this, which is to simply put the initial focus to the second button so that keyboard navigation will still be possible. I like this idea and will try to modify this.

Hi kurono,

You seem to be working on tails-installer currently. Could you have a look into this? We simply want to put the focus on the second button instead of the first one. Do you think you can do that?

I will take a look, however this seems to be related with the initial installer assistant, which we are going to get rid of.
When that is finished I will come back to this ticket to see if we should delete it.

Since we got rid of the splash screen of Tails Installer, see Feature #8859, this ticket does not make sense anymore.
