Description

We apparently missed this one while working on the doc update.

Now there is no more “system shutdown icon” and Shutdown Immediately or Reboot Immediately.

This is a small so it should be easy for someone who wants to get into doc writing.

Do you mean “3.0”?

2.0 is correct, shutdown/reboot is now included in the system menu. 3.0 will only be different in terms of the dark theming, but the location of the buttons is the same (:

I updated the documentation and added two icons to clarify the procedure. I decided to include the System Menu of GNOME below (where shutdown.png was in place before). I’m not sure if we want to keep it, since there is already a link to it in the upper paragraph (referring to first_steps/introduction_to_gnome_and_the_tails_desktop.mdwn#system). If it’s too much and obvious we can drop the picture from the page.

The link and the image were duplicates, so let’s keep the image only which is more helpful (e4d7412).

So I merged your branch. Now, I’d like the foundations team to clarify whether we could remove:

- By pressing the power button of the computer.

It doesn’t work on my machine and I’m having a hard time understanding the outcome of Bug #7334.

My understanding of Bug #7334 is that in Tails 2.x, pressing the power button from the Desktop session, when the screen is not locked, should trigger emergency shutdown. If it does not, please report a bug (let’s please not reopen Bug #7334, that was about a regression between 1.0 and 1.1).

Ok, Bug #12004 makes it clear that we should keep this line for the time being. Closing this ticket now.
