Description

We need to make sure that 1.8 and 2.0 include the updated Icedove packages.

Debian DSA 3410

> For the stable distribution (jessie), these problems have been fixed in version 38.4.0-1~deb8u1.

I thought (stupidly, perhaps) that there was something to be done by the RM like there is when Tor or TBB is updated. If not, I’ll build an ISO, ensure that the desired package versions are installed and make sure that Icedove and Enigmail still behave.

I see why it would make sense in the general case :)

In this case, this upgrade happened before your deadline for shipping Icedove in Tails (January 15), and it’s a major one (31 -> 38), so IMO it’s on your plate.

All looks good. I found that Icedove is not started with the wrapper script in feature/jessie, so I submitted Bug #10741 for that.

But this ticket was for ensuring the fixed version is in Tails, and it certainly is included.
