Feature #10672
Consider turning our Flattr account into a charity one

Description
Hi,
I am wondering if it would be useful to modify our Flattr account into a Charity account https://flattr.com/support/charityaccount
This might be helpful for our legal sponsor.
What do you think?

Isn’t this a duplicate of Bug #10212?
My take on this is that until now we got $0 from Flattr (unless I missed something), so maybe we should wait until it becomes a real source of revenue before putting energy into optimizing it.
But yes, I think we should try this at some point.

I checked and there is not enough yet to withdraw. As soon as that is the case though, it might be worth to modify the account.

They’ve changed the procedure, so now we would need to get into contact with them and ask.
I suppose that there is not much sense in doing so.
Currently 90% of the revenue goes to us, and 10% is kept by flattr for banking fees etc.
As we do currently not get a lot of revenue from there I’d suggest to leave it as is.
Assigning to sajolida to have a second opinion. If you are ok with me, then please close this ticket as well as the parent ticket.

Yeah! So rejecting this for the time being. We can resolve it if we find this relevant again in the future.
