Thanks for working on this. I think you doing good in the sense that we don’t need a very deep explanation on this topic.

Still, I’m not really happy with the fact that your text currently seems to claim that there are no viruses (or malware) affecting Linux, which is not true. See for example https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linux_malware. Maybe you could reuse this article or parts of this article, which is maybe more accessible and relevant than the Debian manual.

And regarding style:

  • Avoid “this”, “it” and other possibly ambiguous references to previous concepts. Here I’d prefer to use “viruses” instead of “such threat” for example. We’re writing technical documentation and not literature, so I personally prefer repeating words than risking ambiguity.
