Feature #9360
Complete random mac changer option for advanced users needed
0%
Description
The implementation of a random mac changer by default is a great addition to Tails but it is lacking a very much needed feature. In certain situations a Tails user would like a truly random mac changer (XX-XX-XX-XX-XX-XX) instead of (OO-OO-OO-XX-XX-XX).
On the Tails advanced options login options there can be an option with a label similar to “Fully Random Mac Address”. This would be an easy feature to implement since it would only require a small modification to the Tails backend, the OS can execute (macchanger -r) instead of (macchanger -a) and this would benefit a lot of advanced users that require a complete random mac address.
