Description

I’d like to make it clearer in which languages Tails can be used. This should be done somewhere on the website, maybe even on the homepage. It’ll help people to find out that Tails might actually be the right tool for them. And I don’t think that this exists yet in our documentation.

I’ve played around with some languages in the Greeter recently, and I think that some of them seem quite complete in their translations and could actually be advertised: many european languages, farsi, arabic, thai, viet, korean, chinese, japanese. Others?

I guess the “Multilingual support” section on https://tails.boum.org/doc/about/features/ would be the best place (currently) to add this info.

I have a question to be able to document that: where do I find stats about translation %, so that I know which ones to list?

./wiki/src/contribute/l10n_tricks/language_statistics.sh :)

Hum… no, I need statistics about Tails being translated, not the website (I know how to find this part).

Please state more clearly what stats you want, then.

Hum… I guess the stats of translation of the Tails-specific software would be good, and I’ll search for the stats of translation of GNOME to complete :)

Then, ./refresh-translations finishes its job by displaying a per-language report. Is it good enough for your needs?

u, could you please paste me the output of the command? I don’t want to clone the git just for that.
