Description

Right now, the additional software feature exists, but it’s not shown in the persistence configuration. It should be added. When selected, it should open a windows with warnings (cf https://tails.boum.org/doc/advanced_topics/additional_software) and let you enter the list of packages you want.

This is the easier version of Feature #5996

It’s not clear if this exactly what a team volunteered to work on in 2017 (Feature #5996, Bug #9059, Feature #9819) but in any case that’s not 2016 material anymore.

  • Status changed from Confirmed to Rejected
  • Target version deleted (2017)

The UX proposed by BitingBird was meant to be an “easier version of Feature #5996” but, while working on Feature #5996, nobody in the team ever considered this as an option. So I’m rejecting this idea.
