According to https://wiki.debian.org/HOWTO/DefaultWebBrowser, Epiphany and Konqueror are the default in KDE and GNOME in Debian. Is that really the case? Apparently yes…

According to http://www.ubuntu.com/desktop/features/web-browsing, Firefox is still the default on Ubuntu.

According to http://www.linuxmint.com/documentation/user-guide/Cinnamon/english_17.1.pdf, Linux Mint has Firefox installed by default.

I’m pretty sure Jessie’s d-i installs Iceweasel as the default browser in GNOME these days.
Should be tested for real, don’t trust old stuff on the Debian wiki.

Yes, Iceweasel is installed by default on Debian Jessie. So Debian, Ubuntu, and Mint all have some kind of Firefox installed by default. I think we’re good then.
