Description

The installer will definitely not be available in Jessie but we should investigate if any important deadline for Ubuntu arrives, for example regarding the inclusion in LTS version.

And what about other popular derivaties like Mint?

Cool!

What we need to know is actually the calendar of freeze. It can see this in the subpage for the next release:

DebianImportFreeze for Vivid Vervet is February 19th, so we’ll definitely miss that one.

Can we infer that the DebianImportFreeze for the next one (15.10) will be around August 19th?

Should we aim at this, u?

Problem solved then! I’m marking Feature #8557 as due for Tails 1.5 (August 11).

According to http://www.linuxmint.com/rel_rebecca_cinnamon_whatsnew.php#lts and http://www.linuxmint.com/download_all.php, the most common version of Linux Mint are based on Ubuntu LTS. Next one is schedule for 16.04. So we’ll definitely be in there (next year).
