Description

On a fresh Tails 1.2.2 on a X201 Thinkpad, I can run gnome-screenshot or press the “Print Screen” button, but no files are saved anywhere. The screenshot itself seems to take place correctly.

I have configured persistence.

On a normal Debian Wheezy/Jessie, these screenshots are saved to ~/Images.

I’ve found a workaround, which is to run gnome-screenshot from the command line, using the “-i” option, which opens a dialog window which allows me to choose a filename and folder.
However, that is not quite user friendly.

Can somebody confirm this bug?

Let me add that being obliged to run this from a commandline makes it nearly impossible to take a screenshot of another terminal.. :)

I’m not sure to understand what you mean here, I seem to be able to
trigger a screenshot with the PrintScreen key.

Same here (using virt-manager’s “Send key” -> “Printscreen”).

I think that’s a regression, as iirc this feature worked just fine on Squeeze.

It might be that installing xdg-user-dirs and/or xdg-user-dirs-gtk, and then logging out and in again, would solve this problem.
