Description

Please consider enabling touchpad tapping by default. On touchpads where the buttons are wonky, the only way to use the touchpad is via tapping. Manually enabling it with the keyboard navigation keys is not intuitive for those that do not know the keyboard shortcut keys, and it can be trial and error if the screen (like on a netbook) does not display the whole setings panel.

If you do not see any issues to having this enabled by default, then I am sure that it could only help those (like myself) who have older hardware that does not have touchpad buttons that are in perfect functioning order.

Thank you for all of the great work that you do for the TAILS project, and thank you also for your kind consideration of this enhancement request.

This request seems to be a duplicate of Feature #5979 and Feature #7779.

BTW, I also think this issue is important, putting it on the monthly agenda.
