Tchou proposed the computer logo. But Alan prefers the play logo.

I gave my opinion by email, copying here so you don’t have to dig mail archives to find it:

I prefer the play icon, it’s quite known and easy to understand.

During the last contributor meeting present contributors have unanimously said that the play icon seems more appropriate as it inspires the idea of “Starting”. A computer logo inspired more “settings” or “parameters” and should thus not be the icon for starting Tails.

One person said that the “Start” should equally be present as text, as provided in the mockups.

Tchou should still make his case about why/if he would prefer the computer logo, assigning this ticket to him.
