As of 1205dd3 there is not “Applications” menu in Tails Jessie.

That’s https://bugs.debian.org/765460. I’m working it around in our Git repo, and will try to get it fixed properly in Debian.

Worked around in Git, attached patch to Debian bug, proposed to NMU.

Fixed in sid’s gnome-shell-extensions (3.14.1-1).
