Description

In order to test UEFI boot in our automated test suite, we need the ovmf package in wheezy-backports.

  • test/7231-uefi-boot currently documents how to install ovmf from Jessie, as a temporary (?) workaround
  • I’ve successfully tested an initial backport of edk2, and asked its maintainers if there’s a reason why I should not upload it.

Actually, as discussed on the debian-backports list, it may not be a good idea. Let’s work this around with documentation, as already done on test/7231-uefi-boot.
