Feature #7449
Have Seahorse easier to find in the Applications menu
100%
Description
The seahorse GUI is not easy to find in GNOME’s application menu (applicationspreferences>passwords and keys). However this is the first place where you’d look for it.
It’s also not possible to find it when typing “seahorse” or “pgp” in the search bar of GNOME’s desktop. Only when looking for “password” or “key”.

It could be worth discussing with upstream why they put it there in the first place.
Maybe they would be amenable to changing it.

Well, no. This ticket will be “Confirmed” once it’s clear that doing this (ourselves, or at all) is the way to go, which is not the case yet: I’m not thrilled of starting to pile up such small bits of delta that we’ll have to carry and maintaine forever => see Feature #7613.

In fact, Seahorse is in the applications menu: applications -> preferences -> passwords and keys

IIRC, the fact that it’s “hidden” that deep, and especially in the preferences submenu, was precisely what made us create these tickets.
