Bug #7399
Remove Pidgin systray icon in Windows 8 camouflage
0%
Description
The Pidgin systray icon is Pidgin’s default. Even if we could change it to the same we use in the task bar, it would look strange because Windows 8 has no such systray icon. Instead, what about disabling Pidgin’s systray icon when in camouflage mode? I guess it’d become a persistent change, though, if the Pidgin preset is enabled, which is problematic.
Any ideas?

Just found out about Feature #7376. Let’s say this ticket is about disabling the tray icon then.

Reject in the November meeting: https://tails.boum.org/contribute/meetings/201411/
We considered those as no real issues. The camouflage mode tries to avoid being spotted as Tails by someone passing by but it can’t be a 100% perfect imitation of Windows. So we decided to reject both tickets.
