Description

On a 1366x768 display, on a build from the devel branch, the height of the dialog that announces me that a new version is available (but I have to upgrade manually since I’ve started from a DVD) is about 120% of the screen’s height. The top part of the dialog is properly laid out, but there is tons of free space between it and the OK button.

This is https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=670496 and https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=702295. I’m going to import the patch proposed in the Debian BTS in our config/chroot_local-patches/ to workaround this for Tails 1.1.

Hopefully upstream takes it (or a better one) so that we can get rid of that delta ASAP. I have just made them aware of this patch, and triaged the corresponding Debian bug.

Supposedly fixed upstream properly, so maybe we can drop our patch for Tails/Jessie :)

I’ll test and report back.

I’ve tested and confirmed (to Debian, and upstream) that the upstream fixes work fine. Proposed to NMU, attached debdiff to the Debian bug.

I’ll NMU later this month unless the maintainers tell me not to.
