Description

Apparently, some SanDisk sticks (Sandisk Cruzer Orbit 32gb), hang at installation time, here is a more complete description of the issue:

I made a bootable usb with Windows (pendrivelinux).
This usb stick is a Kingston Datatraveler 2.0 32gb.
I then booted into my laptop using the Kingston, so far so good.
Everything else works.
Since I want to make a persistent volume, I have to use the Tails Installer.
I insert another usb stick into the pc.
This stick is a Sandisk Cruzer Orbit 32gb.
For some reason, the Tails Installer progress simply stopped at 98%.
And by stopped, I meant I waited more than 60 mins and nothing happens (but the system is running just fine).
To be more specific, it stopped after “installing bootloader” and “unmounting mounted filesystems on /dev/xxx”

A user reported that after 20min of waiting for installation to end, she/he did reboot on that Sandisk stick anyway and it did work fine (booting Tails).

This behaviour should be added there: https://tails.boum.org/support/known_issues/index.fr.html#index11h2

I think that’s hardware support, and not Installer, but i’m not sure.
