Description

I use claws-mail with persistence to haldle large amount of emails (several thousands of emails stored) in Tails.

I experience a lot of segfaults (~ 1 every session). Backtrace coming soon.

I don’t know wether I should spend time tu debug that as we still have no clue when we’ll ship Icedove instead of Claws.

I think the best place to put our efforts is the migration to Icedove.
Any effort put into Claws Mail is just postponing the real solution,
and a waste of time IMHO. When acting as a RM, I personally won’t
spend any time on Claws Mail for anything else than quick and easy
solutions/workarounds to important problems.

E.g. if this issue is fixed by the version of Claws Mail that’s in
wheezy-backports (possibly backported for squeeze-backports-sloppy if
needed), then let’s just take that one :)

  • Status changed from Confirmed to Rejected

We’re going to switch to Icedove in a few months -> not going to work on Claws, so rejecting.
