Feature #6426
Point to Git introductory doc from various new contributors doc
100%
Description
We should first factorize this piece of doc in another place (e.g. some subsection of contribute/git’s “General information”, or contribute/git/learn), and then link to there from contribute/how/{documentation,translate,website}.

Good start!
I would also create a “Learn Git” section in contribute/git and group there the various links we already have there, before and after the TOC: line 11-13 and 21-24.
And be careful with internal anchors. We add internal anchors (markup ) to be able to point directly to a section of a page from a URL, like:
https://tails.boum.org/contribute/git#general_information
Those have to stay right on top of the section they are linking to. You need to correct the placement of the #general-information anchor that you moved around.
