Description

The autotype feature of keepassx that we advertize to use with GnuPG agent doesn’t work with non-qwerty keyboard layout.

Upstream doesn’t want to fix this in keepassx 0.4 (see https://www.keepassx.org/dev/issues/108) but ther is not (yet) a non-alpha 2.0 release.

It’s unclear to me what is the action item here. What are you suggesting we do?

If there is nothing we’re likely to do ourselves here, perhaps the
known issues page would be better suited than a ticket.

1. Test if the bug still exists in 2 series
2. Report the bug if it still exists
3. Wait for upstream to release 2.0 which would hopefully fix the bug
4. Include it in Debian then Tails

Autotype works with fr layout in tails 1.1rc1 even though it still uses keepassx 0.4.X.
