Description

apt-cache search for user amnesia stops working if the user runs and then closes synaptic.

to recreate:
open synaptic
do a search
close synaptic

now run apt-cache as user amnesia
$> apt-cache search vim
E: Opening configuration file /etc/apt/apt.conf.d/99synaptic - ifstream::ifstream (13: Permission denied)

Reproduced on Tails, unreproducible on sid, Wheezy, and Tails/Wheezy => will be automatically fixed once we move to Wheezy => nothing to do on our side => closing.

(Oh, and in both cases I’ve set a 077 umask before trying.)
