Here are the relevant errors after resuming:

Feb 21 16:00:42 amnesia kernel: i8042: Can't write CTR while closing AUX port
Feb 21 16:00:42 amnesia kernel: i8042: Can't reactivate AUX port
Feb 21 16:00:42 amnesia kernel: atkbd_interrupt: 28 callbacks suppressed
Feb 21 16:00:42 amnesia kernel: atkbd serio0: Spurious ACK on isa0060/serio0. Some program might be trying to access hardware directly.

This looks like https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1436636 and https://askubuntu.com/questions/1061565/keyboard-uunresponsive-after-resume-from-suspend.

It would be good if the user could try these boot options:

  • i8042.direct i8042.dumbkbd
  • i8042.kbdreset
  • combining the above
