Description

Once we’ve switched to overlayfs-based IUKs and are happy with it, we can get rid of the code that still supports generating IUKs based on aufs:

  • git grep aufs config/chroot_local-includes/usr/src/iuk/ in tails.git
  • grep aufs wiki/src/contribute/release_process/tails-iuk.mdwn in tails.git
  • manifests/iuk_builder.pp in puppet-tails.git (done on March 28 already)

It’s Perl and mostly affects the RM, so tentatively assigning to @CyrilBrulebois :)

Only the IUK generation code is affected. The Upgrader should not be affected at runtime.
