Agreed. For now I’m not treating this as FT work because:

  • we have no persistence mechanism for Tor Browser prefs, so the incentive for users to go look there is low
  • the impact of changing these prefs is low: worst case, if a user enables “Automatically install updates” at the wrong time, one will get a notification about the update failing to install
