Description

A user has reported that changes made in the PGP keys section of Seahorse are not visible unless the user restarts the program. I have tried myself and can confirm.

I thought this could be related to Bug #17183, but perhaps not, hence a new and separate ticket.

Interesting!

I’ve tried, and failed, to reproduce in several contexts:

  • Tails 4.0 started from an ISO image: started Seahorse, right-clicked on the help desk list’s key, clicked “Delete” ⇒ the key is gone from the list.
  • Same with Tails 4.0 started from USB with the GnuPG persistence setting enabled.
  • Same on current Debian sid.

Did you do anything different?

Maybe it’s a factor of one’s keyring? (I’ve only tested with tiny ones.)
