config/chroot_local-includes/etc/skel/.local/share/applications/mimeapps.list has a comment, dating from the Tails 2.x era, that says the tweaks in this file workarounds a number of issues. Some of these might be fixed in Buster. Let’s check this & clean up this file if possible.
