Description

  • We should clean up among the packages we try to purge, as they tend to cause issues with when building from a tagged snapshot.
  • We should clean up the last-minute release fixes (those listed by packages_to_purge).

Ok, so I repurposed this ticket for only the clean up parts.

I don’t understand what could be cleaned up here: every package we purge was installed during the build of 4.0~beta1 and thus had, and still has, to be purged, no?

I’ve removed the one that will be useless starting from Buster. But I’d rather keep the other ones, to ensure these packages don’t ever come back. It does little harm to keep this clean up step, apart of adding a few cheap calls to is_package_installed, which should be pretty much unnoticeable on the total build time.
