Checking now the stats on subscriptions on amnesia-news
(internal.git:stats/amnesia-news_subscribers/data.yml) they have been
in steady decrease since they peaked at 18k in March 2016. They are
now at 16k. So yeah, I think that we have a serious problem regarding
this mailing list, let’s call it a UX problem, and we should
investigate it more because I think that it’s hurting us silently on
many aspects (fundraising, growing the user base, outreach).
If we consider this mailing list as the first of a donation funnel, this work could qualify as Fundraising. It could also qualify as UX as “important improvements” to “core pages of our website”. Even though it’s not a page, it is one of our core communication tools.
