currently, only the master branch is translateable. So for upcoming versions, translators will still have to use git. It might be useful to allow translating other branches.

translation to other branches is possible, and it is configurable per component, for example

thanks @emmapeel! This is good news.

But it would highly impact how we do merges and how we organize the components, so it’s very likely a huge pile of work. On top of this, this might actually duplicate the work of translators and be a can of worms, where in one branch they’ll have their translation validated but not on the other etc.

So let’s leave this ticket open as “good idea” - and come back to it once we’ve used the platform for a sufficiently long time.
