Bug #16415

0%
Description
openpgp-applet (the clipboard icon at top of screen in GNOME) does not want to start in VirtualBox 6.0 (with VBoxVGA and 3D acceration enabled)
Running openpgp-applet in terminal i only whis the message but i also see it when it works:
(openpgp-applet:950): Gdk-CRITICAL : gdk_window_thaw_toplevel_updates: assertion ‘window->update_and_descendants_freeze_count > 0’ failed
I dont see any other messages to indicate the reason for the program not to start.
Starts if using VBoxSVGA or VMSVGA but not VBoxVGA.
All with 3D acceleration enabled.

Hi,
Well from my perspective it seems more related to VB than to Tails. Also if you can have it working, maybe we won’t spend time debugging this very specific case.

I beg to disagree.
Regardless, this will be solved via Bug #8310 and I don’t think we should spend time on a temporary workaround here.
