Description

In Tails 3.11, when dotfiles persistent feature is enabled, if you create 2 folders, one named “nospace” and the other one “with space” and add a text file to each of these folder, after rebooting, the “with space” folder and its content are owned by root.

This bug has presumably been around since the first Tails release that added support for persistence, ~6 years ago, and it’s the first time it’s reported, so let’s take it easy.

Next step: check if the bug is in live-persist or in live-boot; if the latter, report the bug in the Debian BTS.

Maybe we could add a note to the dotfiles documentation?
