Description

Now that the .htaccess is not in tails.git anymore, I can’t do this myself in our integration branch and will submit a patch to our sysadmins.

Here is a patch!

Assigning to groente who’s doing some work on the USB images project and also sysadmin shifts. I’m not sure in which budget you want to fit this…

But, merging this should be in sync with the merge of our doc/16006-usb-images branch for the doc (if I understand correctly, at the same time as 3.12 and the big release for the whole USB images project). Applying this patch should not happen before the release but could happen a tiny bit after.

Reviewing is arguably part of Bug #15993, so on groente’s plate or mine. Deploying at the exact right time is closer to sysadmin on-call duty, so groente: once reviewed, feel free to reassign to bertagaz who’ll be on duty on January 29 (and make the deployment schedule clear + probably bump priority to Urgent), unless you want to handle it yourself.

Yes, you got it right. To clarify the “in sync with the merge part”: doc/16006-usb-images is meant to be merged into devel by Dec 15 just like the rest of our USB image work. Then devel will become testing once the 3.12 freeze starts. But these rewrite rules shall be deployed only once testing has subsequently been merged into master (which our website is built from), which will happen during the 3.12 release process on Jan 29.
