This is an intermittent problem: that curl command works just fine on my machine. I’ve seen it fail once on apt-proxy.lizard but now it works every time. /var/cache/apt-cacher-ng/snapshot.debian.org/archive/debian/20180505T160451Z/dists/sid/InRelease.head says Date: Tue Oct 30 08:36:39 2018 which shows that it worked at least once yesterday. Still, this is not reliable enough so I’ll import the two packages we fetch from there into a new, dedicated APT suite hosted on our infra.

In passing, https://bugs.debian.org/838561 is about a similar problem, that was not fully debugged yet.
