Description

Right now tails-debugging-info includes lspci.

I propose it to run lspci -nn to include the vendor and product ID in the output.

The GDM debugging message from Bug #14521 runs lspci -nn.

It should make the output of the GDM debugging message and WhisperBack reports exactly the same and help maintaining /support/known_issues/gdm.

Here is a branch!

I based it on stable but in theory this might have to wait until 3.8.

I guess you meant “until 3.9” (our next major release).

Anyway, the proposed change looks safe enough to me for a minor release (and I’m getting more and more doubtful about the usefulness of our RC:s) so I’m reviewing this for 3.7 :)
