Description

The sound system is not working on an iMac (21-inch late 2015) on tails 3.6.1. I use tails also on a macbook pro (13-inch mid 2012) and the sound is working fine, but not on the iMac.

Actually mi iMac is a 21-inch Retina 4k 2017

Hello:

Can you please tell me what happens when you select a sound card from the Settings menu:

Applications -> System tools -> Settings -> Sound -> Output

Everything looks ok, I can choose whether I want to use speakers or headphones, but there is no sound. Testing doesn’t get any sound.

Can you please:

- Try also with the hardware buttons for sound - mute - etc.

- Update to Tails 3.6.2

- Start Tails and open the Sound settings menu
- Send us a WhisperBack report with the technical information so we can see what is happening.

Please mention the ticket number 15465 on the report.
