I wonder if it’s better to do this ASAP (which would usually be my preference wrt. such matters) or to postpone this to when we’ve have already successfully upstreamed the first iteration (partitions). The advantage of postponing a bit is that it avoids information overload: it seems to me that we’re already requesting lots of availability/input/comments from upstream for the first iteration.
