Feature #15038
Iteration 3: Clarify which version of the partition formatting dialog of Disks we should redesign
0%
Description
The partition formatting dialog of Disks has been rewritten in the version in Debian Stretch. We should have patches for the new version for our work to be in the next version of GNOME but depending on our release strategy for Tails (Feature #15037) we might have to redesign the old version of this screen as well.

Does this implicitly imply that “creating a VeraCrypt device from Tails” is part of the features that you folks have selected after the cost/benefit analysis you did? (I’m curious to see that analysis by the way but that’s off-topic here :)

It’s clearly optional. But since doing it implies quite a few new user interface elements, it was one of the user scenarios that we tested. If we have time to implement it we will already have a tested UI for it.

Please clarify what’s the status here: in particular this is a subtask of the beta release ticket which I suspect does not reflect the current state of our plans :)
