This should not be needed in the end since mutter 3.33.3: https://gitlab.gnome.org/jwrdegoede/mutter/commit/a8984a81c2e887623d69ec9989ae8a5025f7bd47. I don’t know if this fixes the problem for X11 apps runs under Xwayland only, or also for apps that could run in native Wayland mode. Let’s test this once GNOME 3.34 is in Debian.
