Wrote an initial email to Alison, proposing to pool resources (money & speakers availability) between Tor & Tails, and proposing to use CryptoRave as a test-bed (I would happily attend again).

So I’ll be at CryptoRave and we already have good ideas of what to do there. Next step is to have a meeting with people from São Paulo and whoever at Tails/Tor wants to participate in designing what we’ll do at CryptoRave this year: https://lists.torproject.org/pipermail/global-south/2018-February/000137.html.
I’ll keep this ticket open until the event has happened, reports have been sent and the follow-ups have been processed.

Next step: what will we do around the Tor meeting in Mexico City? sajolida, do you already have plans/ideas? I suspect I won’t be needed given I don’t speak the local language while you do, so perhaps you can take the ownership here? If you don’t want to, no problem, I’ll contact my folks there (+ anyone you suggest) and we’ll see what happens.

I don’t have plans or ideas and honestly feel quite low energy on that.
Last year I already did some interviews and a small meetup in the same region. This time I might offer myself to follow up on whatever Tor wants to do and help with the Spanish.
Emma will also be there.
I propose we discuss this closer to the dates. Maybe informally at the summit…

OK. FTR I don’t plan to stay there before/after the meeting so the best I can do is email friendly local people in case they want to organize something during the meeting.
