1. Deselect all filters in uBlock0.
2. uBlock0 connect to github in background, and there’s no way to stop this behavior.

uBlock0’s phone home code must be removed. This enables attacker to use water-fountain attack.

Could you please explain more precisely how to check on that (ublock connecting to github) and why do you think it’s about spyware?

According to https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/wiki/Privacy-policy, the add-on only connects to servers when updating filters (which we don’t do by default). I’ve noticed it also connects to GitHub when opening the “3rd-party filters” settings tab, in order to check if filters are up-to-date. I think that’s fine.

Is it these connections you were talking about? If not, please clarify with technical details, e.g. requests & browser logs. I’m interested if there are such connections happening without entering the uBlock Origin add-on 3rd-party filters settings.
