Description

We would especially like to have some sort of web service (maybe a wiki), because the Tor Browser can be used as a client for this (Tor Browser is available on other systems without configuration effort).
We would also like to have some sort of instant messaging service (irc or xmpp).

I just added lighttpd to the supported services, serving the default placeholder page.

I was requested that we add Icecast to the list of services supported by Tails Server: a Tails could be used to record audio and make it available as an Onion Service; and then a clearnet, well-connected server could fetch this audio feed and publish it. I’m told this setup is already set up by hand here and there, but having it supported in Tails Server would lower the bar to set this up substantially :)

Feature #12478 implements Pidgin/Prosody but has not been merged yet.

Now, the two other proposals on this ticket might need a separate ticket each:

  • proposal to add Icecast as an audio streaming server / independent anonymous webradio
  • proposal to add an easy webserver + website, possibly a wiki.

I will create new tickets for this, and segfault can close them or collect more information on them if necessary.
