The upstream patch was merged into 3.20.x.
Debian version currently is 3.11.x
I did not test if the problem still persists.

Nitpicking: it was merged into master (https://git.gnome.org/browse/libcryptui/log/) but there’s not been any release since mid-2014.

Nitpicking: Stretch has libcryptui 3.12.2-3.
If someone wants to move this forward, either convince upstream to put a release out, or cherry-pick the patches in Debian.

I think I was mistakenly talking about seahorse-nautilus’ version, not libcryptui.
However I see on the upstream bug report that the change was merged into libcryptui.

I can do that too.

pinged both.

It was suggested that Alan and Colomban Wendling (patch authors) talk to upstream GNOME developers (perhaps the GNOME release team or the desktop-devel mailing list, if the maintainer of libcryptui can’t be contacted?) about the possibility of taking over maintenance. Does this seem like an option to you? https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=900270
Reassign back to me if not.
