Description

It happens in tails-amd64-feature_stretch-3.0-20161116T1329Z-1af48d3.iso and with NM 1.4.2-2 (Bug #11937). Disconnecting/reconnecting “fixes” that.

I tried and failed to understand the issue. Here is what I tried:

- Killing gdm-x-session and reconnecting fixes the issue.
- Access the NMApplet object with looking glass:

<Alt>+<F2> lg<Return>
Main.panel.statusArea['aggregateMenu']._network

now you can access the NMApplet object defined at https://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-shell/tree/js/ui/status/network.js... but I didn’t find an issue there.

- next step could be to follow https://developer.gnome.org/ExtractShell/ add log("something")

This has apparently been fixed by bumping the APT snapshots :)
