Note that nothing has changed after u’s review in the branch. Furthermore, I blindly followed these instruction when preparing icedove 1:45.4.0-1~deb8u1+tails1, copy-paste style (except that I set a “custom” value to DISTRIBUTION, as documented), and it seems to work. :)

Ok, reading it didn’t bring any problems to me. I haven’t tested it myself, but it makes sense and it sounds like you tested it in real situation, so it’s now merged, congrats.
